Professional Theatre comes to Newland on Wednesday 2nd May
A professional theatre company are visiting the school next Wednesday evening ( 2nd May) to perform a new play called ‘A Strange Death of Corsetry’, recently premiered at Kardomah 94 earlier this week.
The short play (40 minutes) is about Madame Clapham; Hull’s famous fashion designer of the late 1800s who designed dresses and outfits for the royal family. She set up shop where the Kingston Theatre Royal hotel is now.
This is primarily organised for my GCSE Drama students, ahead of their formal written review exam., however it is open for all to buy a ticket and attend. It’s a great play.
I have 30 complimentary tickets for Drama students to come and bring a parent/ carer, however additional tickets can be bought on the door at £7 each, or through Hull Box Office. Thank you
