Year 7 – Welcome
A huge welcome to all of our new Year 7 to what we are hoping will be a very successful yet challenging year. Having settled into their new classes and school routines, the girls will quickly find their feet and excel.
The students follow a diverse and enriched curriculum in year 7, studying the core subjects of English, Maths, Science, PE and ICT; in addition to languages, technology, art, geography, history, RE, dance drama and music.
We operate a vertical tutoring and house system, an opportunity for students to become involve in a wide range of activities to promote a sense of togetherness and community spirit.
With new routines it’s important that all students are aware of the expectations each lesson, students should come to school equipped with the correct uniform, planner, reading book and pencil case.
Home learning is an essential learning opportunity and the students need to ensure that this is completed to avoid any unnecessary sanctions. The homework is issued on a timetable, and can be monitored by parents on the SIM’s Learning gateway. Parents’ can access this from home using the passwords issued at the beginning of term.
Each year we endeavor to enrich the life opportunities of the students providing a range of voluntary trips and visits. Below is a list of the trips available for students in Y7 to access.
- End of year activities day trips include, flamingo Land, Theater trip to London, Snow zone, Cinema.
